Noah’s Ark Playscheme provides a valuable respite care service for children with a learning disability and their families. We operate during the school holidays, for one week at Easter, four weeks in the summer and 2 days at Christmas. The playscheme is held in a local school in Borehamwood and we accept children with learning disabilities aged 5-16; we can also accommodate siblings, where possible.
We provide fun and stimulating activities and entertainment. On-site activities include creative play, music, entertainers, a bouncy castle and more. Outings include trips to soft play, sailing, farms, parks and bowling.
The Ofsted-registered scheme is led by dedicated and enthusiastic staff and we take volunteers over 16 years old.
Job opportunities are available for Play Assistants during the running of playschemes.
