Hertsmere Mencap’s King’s Coronation Party Takes the Crown for Best Event of the Year!
Hertsmere Mencap is a local charity supporting people with a learning disability in Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Bushey, Elstree, Radlett and beyond. We have transformed the lives of hundreds of people in our community, by leading them out of isolation and helping them make friends, learn new skills and provide support and advice.
We are here for you – children, family and wider family too
Adult Activities
Our Daily Activities are designed to focus on building confidence, learning new skills and making friends. Taking place during the weekdays, our activities are led by professionals experienced in working with learning disabilities. From arts and crafts to drama, music and evening youth club there is something for everyone. Your first session is free!
Cost: £5 per session
Duration: approx 1.5 hours
Location: Local venues in Borehamwood
Holiday Club
Hertsmere Mencap’s Holiday Club provides a valuable respite care service for children with disabilities. The Holiday Club currently runs for one week at Easter and approximately four weeks during the Summer holidays from Monday to Friday, 10.00am – 2.00pm. We also hold activity days during the Christmas holidays as well as our annual Christmas party.
Our Holiday Club provides fun and stimulating activities which are age and stage appropriate depending on the individual needs of each child, for example, creative and sensory play, music, entertainment, sports and cooking.
